Vehicle Stopping Foams

Foam on an engine's filer Deposition of engine stoppage foam residue upon an engine filter surface

This technology allows for the ability to remotely stop an automobile by non-lethal means by way of a stand-off foam or other system of minimum lethality, but capable of stopping an approaching automobile. This may also be accomplished by the use of either an oxygen scavenger to decrease the oxygen concentration in proximity to the induction system, or a laser pulse to disrupt the electrical system so that the air-fuel mixture cannot be ignited. Developing methods for remotely stopping a vehicle by non-lethal means provides an option for stopping an automobile or light truck while preventing the death of potentially innocent vehicle occupants.
