Remote Generation of Hydrogen Fuel

This project involves improving technology needed for solar energy conversion of water to hydrogen. The application of this technology may enable the production of a useful, clean fuel on the battlefield and at base camps. The only ingredients will be water and the sun’s energy, plus the action of photocatalytic films containing efficient nanostructured photcatalysts, and membranes for the separation of hydrogen and oxygen.
