The Urban Operations Laboratory
Equipping military service members with a reliable source of electronic energy to effectively power portable devices for as long as possible allows military personnel to operate on the battlefield more efficiently and effectively. Work includes development of a novel nanostructure battery material to use as an improvised cathode in a lithium-ion battery, with the end result being a lighter weight, higher capacity, longer performance, improved stability lithium ion-based battery for use in powering equipment during military operations.
